SWCeS Begins Performance Communication

This week, the Southwest Colorado eSchool will begin its weekly communication of student performance to promote and support student sucess. The purpose of our weekly electronic communications is to inform both student and parents/guardians if there is an academic issue. “From One Second to the Next”, a Documentary

Werner Herzog was commissioned by AT&T and other cell carriers to make a 30 second video to promote the dangers of texting and driving. What he produced instead is a 30 minute video for schools and all drivers about it dangers….from the perspective of those who caused the accidents and the scares left on their lives.

Establishing a Reputation of Excellence

As we approach the 2013-14 school year, I am struck by the flood of great inquiries and applicants to the Southwest Colorado eSchool. We worked hard as a staff and as a school last year to establish a new learning culture, and the work is really starting to pay dividends.

GeoGebra to launch mobile app

GeoGebra has been a long-standing tool for secondary math teachers. It’s great for graphing algebraic functions or creating geometric constructions. For the longest time, however, this resource has only been available on desktop and laptop computers (including Chromebooks).
